Spiritual care

At NACC, we believe in a holistic approach to healthcare for each individual, including the spirit. We offer holistic healing and spiritual care services provided by our elder in residence and spiritual care providers. Our traditional healing department offers groups, workshops, and ceremonies for patients and community members. If you have an appointment at the clinic, you are welcome to request any of the four medicines (Sage, Sweetgrass, Cedar, and Tobacco) during or after your appointment.

Holistic Wellness Services

Somatic Experience
This practice focuses mainly on the body and spirit. With focused self-examination and guidance, areas of unease within the body are located and sorted out. Unresolved physical, emotional, and spiritual trauma leads to pain within the body and can elicit unwanted behavior. Somatic therapy helps to restore a healthy balance within the body, mind, spirit, and emotions.

Spiritual/Energy Healing
A simple, natural, and safe healing approach to nurture and maintain balance within the body and spirit. Spiritual/energy healing focuses on clearing and releasing trauma that may prevent energy from moving freely in the body.

Brainspotting
Developed by Dr. David Grand, Brainspotting (BSP) locates, focuses, processes, and releases a wide range of emotional and physical trauma in the brain. BSP is a popular technique today that uses various eye gazes to identify and remove trauma stored in the brain. Trauma memories are stored in the subconscious, and BSP works to eliminate unwanted behavior.

Generational Brainspotting
Generational Brainspotting (GBSP) is an approach to heal American Indian Historical Trauma and to relieve physical pain/somatic distress. Intergenerational trauma is a deep-rooted emotional and physical injury. GBSP assists with healing disrupted coping skills, mental disorganization, spiritual loss, conflict, and confusion. If you find yourself stuck in repetitive patterns of emotional grief and betrayal, GBSP may be right for you.
