(Hello all my relatives)

It is an honor and privilege for me to be part of the Native American Community Clinic’s (NACC) family. My life is fully encircled with a relationship with traditional medicines inherent to Native people. The integration of the Indigenous medicine, teachings, and sacred plants with the Western allopathic medical, behavioral therapy, substance use, and dental services shows a deep commitment to healing our American Indian relatives productively. I graduated from Saint Catherine University in the Holistic Health program. I used this platform to study and research healing American Indian Historical Trauma using the Indigenous worldview. The results show that integration of Indigenous ways of life are detrimental to the healing the First Nations people here in the U.S. Times are changing in Indian country and good things are happening at NACC to build an integrative healthcare system that respects and acknowledges the American Indian philosophy. Miigwech!
