Susan Hibbs, CNP, CDE
4 year degree from St. Olaf College in Nursing.
Masters in Nursing both Adult and Pediatric certified from University of Pennsylvania.
Susan has worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the community since 1986. She is passionate about addressing the health care disparities of the community. Susan specializes in diabetes education and care. Currently, she is the medical provider for the monthly Diabetes Group Meetings. Susan loves family centered care and has taken care of 3 generations of some families. She enjoys caring for teens and children including depression, ADD/ADHD, Asthma, chemical health, contraception and other health concerns. Susan feels humbled and privileged to work in the Minneapolis Native American Community and listens to each individual and where they are coming from. Susan has a history of working at the Indian Health Board in Minneapolis for 18 years and during graduate school working in Tuba City, AZ with both the Navajo and Hopi Nations.
When not at the clinic Susan enjoys hanging out with her husband of 29 years and golden retriever dog of 5 years. As well as, tent camping mostly up north and traveling to see her 3 young adult “children”.
