Laurel Bieschke, Therapist
Laurel Bieschke, LICSW is of Hungarian and Kashubian descent. She grew up in the Great Lakes region, where she worked in tribal education for the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi before earning a Master of Science in Social Work at The University of Texas in Austin, TX. Laurel’s approach to therapy is collaborative, empowering and culturally informed. As a narrative therapist, she works with adults and adolescents to explore the stories they carry about themselves, their lives and their relationships in order to reconnect to the dreams, values, goals and skills that shape their identities. Laurel believes that therapeutic conversations can create possibilities for new directions and alternative stories. She practices with respectful intention to coauthor healing stories of resilience while walking alongside individuals as they determine their path towards greater health and wellness.
